On the 24th of September until the 11th of October 2009, the iconic Liberty Hall building in Dublin’s city centre was transformed into a giant 50 metre, low resolution, TV screen. Powered by 100,000 low-energy LED lights, installed into 330 windows on the south and west faces of the building, the lights illuminated each window as a solid colour turning it into a tiny pixel that’s part of a giant display.

Candid Design Studios was created by Candice Lavender.
Digital designer with 5 years commercial experience, she has worked in a variety of areas within the design field allowing her to expand her creative vocabulary. Candice’s love and passion for all things design has led her to working in television animation, film animation, marketing, educational software, user experience, web and mobile. Some of the larger corporate clients Candice has worked with include BBC, o2 and Microsoft.
“It’s hard to know where to start when recommending Candice. She is an incredibly talented designer, passionate about what she does, and she somehow manages to produce enchantingly beautiful results in the twinkle of an eye…” – Katherine Calmejane, Online Editor & Lead Copywriter for o2.ie
“Candice is a delight to work with. Her work is consistent, of the highest quality, and is always delivered extremely quickly. Candice can also bring great ideas to the table, even when given very little info/ideas to work from. I would not hesitate to recommend Candice to anyone looking for a designer.” – Vinny Coyne, Mobile app developer
“As well as professional level graphics, Candice brought insight and fresh ideas to the project. With minimal design specs, she envisaged the entire project, and came up with the artwork that will set the project apart. I hope my coding can do her artwork justice.” – John Kennedy, Mobile app developer
